To create stronger female business leaders...
The ATHENA NextGen Thought Leadership Series at weVENTURE focuses on capacity building sessions in which women are motivated to connect, share and grow. The program is based on the internationally successful NextGen program in Orlando, Florida, which was cofounded by Karen Keene, President of ATHENA Orlando Women's Leadeship Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of ATHENA International.
Participants take a “deeper dive” and learn about ATHENA’s Eight Principles of Enlightened Leadership. Sessions are facilitated by a diverse group of prominent women business leaders along the Space Coast who volunteer their time by sharing their own stories and leadership lessons. The sessions run one time per month from March through October. Erica Lemp, Executive Director of weVENTURE states, "An important outcome of the program is that women see that there is room at the top for all women, so we need to help one another as we move up."
The Women’s Leadership Enrichment Program aims to provide supplemental ongoing experimental learning and enrichment opportunities during and after participants in the ATHENA NextGen Leadership Series learn core curriculum competencies.
Limited partial scholarships were made available by generous support from the Zonta Club of Melbourne. Please inquire with weVENTURE to learn more. We thank Wells Fargo for sponsoring our 2017 and 2018 ATHENA NextGen classes.
Registration will remain open until we reach our full capacity of participants or until February 11, 2019, whichever occurs first.
The program will be held at The Avenue in Viera, 8am-10am. Dates are:
March 28, April 25, May 23, June 27, July 25, August 16, September 26, October 24 and graduation on November 14.
